Summer may have held on as long as it could, but there’s no denying it any longer: it’s Autumn! I’m quite fond of this season actually, all the colourful leaves, the cool breeze outside and the warm fireplace inside, the birds going nuts on my bird food outside, .. it’s simply lovely! But with the changing of the seasons also comes the changing of your interior decoration! I’m going to be sharing a few posts this season, for both great cooking equipment for Autumn (stews anyone?) but also some great items to get your house in full Autumn mode. So let’s get rid of those Summer sea shells and ocean breeze candles: Autumn is here!
There are quite a lot of things to me that absolutely symbolise Autumn, like colourful leaves & pumpkins. This beautiful rustic wicker basket from Carraig Donn is the perfect decoration to get your home in Autumn mood. Set with pumpkins, berries and elegantly coloured leaves this piece is sure to make your home truly inviting this season.
I’ve always loved candles, they are a great way to add so much coziness and when it comes to Autumn scented candles, this Cinnamon and Cedar candle by Brooke & Shoals is a great addition to your home! The sweet aroma of cinnamon spices with the fresh, woody notes of cedar create a fragrance combination that will gladden the spirit.
Now I absolutely love watching movies in bed and as I don’t have a desk in the house i’m renting, I actually spend most of my time blogging and editing my photos from my bed too cause it’s just so warm and cosy. To make your bed or sofa perfect for autumn there are quite a few ways to go: you can put on some warm blankets for example but you can also add some golden elements like this beautiful cushion cover from Zara Home. Cushion covers are a very easy trick to make your living room (or bedroom) look different each season and they take up no space at all when you store them for next year.
Time for my last piece in this post: Meadows & Byrne’s Faux Fur Nordic Brown Bottle Holder. “Wrap your favourite bottle of wine in the rich faux fur and bring this treasure to your next dinner party. Use the holder time and again to tote wine in style. The super-soft luxurious fur finish will entice all guests to sit back, relax and enjoy a glass of vino.” Finish your plate of with some pine cones (also available in their store) and you have a great looking wine tray for your guests!
